I am by no means a fantastic chef. Heck, I'm not even a chef! I can barely cook! But one of the easiest meals my mother's taught me so far is chicken breast with cream of mushroom soup served with white rice.
So here's how I prepare it.
Baking time: Approx. 1 hour (with rice, 1 hour 15 minutes, more or less)
You will need: 2 frozen large chicken breast tenderloins (or 5-7 small ones) 1 medium to large crockery dish with lid 1 small can of cream of mushroom soup 1 stick of butter or Pam-like spray (to coat the bottom of the dish)
Steps (for just the chicken): 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2.Take the butter or Pam and coat the bottom and sides of the dish.
3. Place two chicken breast tenderloins into dish. You do not want to wash ice off of your tenderloins. The water from the chicken will turn the cream of mushroom into a thick soup.
4. Once oven is preheated, place the lid on the dish and set inside the oven on the middle shelf in the center.
5. Let it cook for an hour. If using 5-7 tenderloins, cook time will be approximately 45 minutes. **Note** As each oven is different, check the chicken about halfway through the cooking process to make sure the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
6. Be sure to turn off your oven when chicken is thoroughly cooked and finished. Let stand for 5-7 minutes. Serve.
That's it! ;D We always put the chicken over white rice and use the left over soup to pour over our meals.
I hope this recipe is thorough enough! It's a really easy, yummy meal!
