Ooh, that I couldn't tell ya. I've often thought of just getting rid of all my downloads and starting fresh again. LOL But, then there's worrying about all the neat-o meshes that I pry wouldn't find again as well as remembering to keep all my donation items. lol I can't help ya, wish I could chica! Maybe Kanz knows? he's usually one with the technical answers. haha

I had this problem and this is what i did! I created a new user account on my PC called 'the Sims 2' then when you log into it, you have all the 'my document' folders for the Sims empty and ready for your downloading spree. Then i just download what i want to play with... you haven't got rid of any of your downloads (that you may have paid for) and you can still start afresh at the same time. I dunno if this sorta idea is what you were after, but i like to keep my 'playing' separate form my 'creating'... plus the game loads so much faster when i need to take previews *grin* Hope this helps... if not, sowwy!

Usually when a new expansion pack comes out, I tend to always delete ALL of the custom content (minus walls and floors as they usually don't require EPs). That way I can download the items that are now compatible with/up to that EP, as well as being "modern" and "new".

Well thanks for the help folks.. but I found a way to get your original neighborhood back w/o re-installing here goes...
"quoted" Make sure you back up your downloads first... if you want to keep them. You could just delete N001 (Pleasantview) from documents>ea games>neighbourhood then go to my computor>local disk>promgram files>ea games>the sims2>TSdata>res>userdata>neighbourhoods and then copy it into your in your neighbourhood folder that you deleted N001 from, that resets one neighbourhood alone instead of the whole game.
